Govt. of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Department of shipping 14-143, Motijheel C/A (8th Floor) Dhaka-1000   No. 021/CNS/DOS-Notice/Circular/14                                                     Date : 01-01-2008   Merchant Marine Deck/Engineer Officer Certificate of Competency Examination Schedule For 2008     The Department of Shipping shall conduct various grades of Merchant Marine Certificate of Competency Examination for Deck/Engineer Officers in the year 2007 commencing from the dates as shown in the following schedule:- Grade of Examination 2008 JAN FEB MAR APR MAY JUN JUL AUG SEPT OCT NOV DEC DO Class-1 2,3,4, & 5 - - 9th - - 8th - - 7th - - 7th F.V.D.O Skipper, Mate - - 9th - - 8th - - 7th - - 7th MEO-1,2 & 3 - 10th - - 4th     3rd     2nd   FV Engineer 1,2 & 3 - 10th - - 4th     3rd     2nd    Note:          For Class-1 & 2 (Deck Officer) Certificate of Competency examination, minimum number of candidates required shall be 1(one) and for each of all other categories, the minimum number shall be3 (three).         Application in prescribed from along with fees must reach the Chief Examiner at least 2 weeks before the commencement of the respective examination.          In the event of the examination date is a Govt. holiday, the examination shall be held on the following working day.
